Lamas:
Part of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh is the third division.
Each of the divisions, Jammu , Kashmir and Ladakh, has
distinct cultures geographical terrain, religion and
life style. It is often called “LITTLE TIBET”. Ladakh
derives its name from Tibetan “La Tags’ the land of high
pass. Ladakh in the western Himalayas form the vast
Tibetan plateau, a high altitude desert, Karakoram
Ladakh and Zanaskar range. Ladakh is divided
administratively into 2 districts Kargil and Leh.

The Landscape of Ladakh is adventurous, barren mountain.
The altitude ranges from 9000ft to 24,000ft from Sea
level. Atmosphere is generally dry.
Ladakh is one of the most exotic destinations; Buddhism

Day 1:
Delhi - Leh
A delightful flight takes you to Leh and you are welcomed
by our representatives at Kushok Bakula Airport Leh and
then transfer to hotel. Take complete rest to acclimatize

Fame, Leh Palace & Shanti Stupa. Evening free at Leh

Day 2:
Leh
After an early breakfast, proceed for a halfday tour of
Indus Valley tour includes visit to Stok Palace Museum,

Day 3:
Leh - Nubra Valley
Early breakfast drive 125 kms, crossing over the world's
highest motorable road - Khardongla Pass 18360 ft, and
enter Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit & Hunder Monasteries and
white sand dunes with perhaps a Camel Safari. Overnight at
the Camp / Hotel.
Day 4:
Nubra Valley - Leh
Early breakfast & visit Samstanling Monastery. Pac lunch
by river side and drive back to Leh via Khardongla pass,
arrive Leh by 4:00 pm. Evening free. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 5:
Leh - Delhi
Morning after a light snacks, transfer to airport to board
flight for Delhi, to enjoy yet again, a beautiful flight

Drive on the Nubra Valley highway to reach Khardongla pass
39 kms from Leh at 18380 ft. Visit the world highest
motorable pass . Back to Leh by lunch time. Afternoon
visit the tiny local shops in Moti market and nowshare
bazaars. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 5
: Leh - Pangong Lake & Back
Early morning around 6:30 am, proceed for fullday
excursion to Pangong Lake which is one of the most amazing
Lakes in Ladakh. Lunch at a Camp. Visit the great blue
Lake and back to Leh by 5-6:00 pm. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Nubra Valley - Leh
Early morning visit the small Yarabtso Lake, leisure
breakfast and drive back to Leh via Khrdongla pass.
Evening free in Leh market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Leh - Pangong
Morning drive 135 kms via Changla pass 17500 ft to
Pangong Lake. Checkin at the Camp and Lunch. Explore
the 140 kms long emerald Lake. Overnight at tented
Camp.
Day 7: Pangong - Stok
Back to Leh enroute visit Chemdey Monastery & Indus
river banks. Checkin at the Hotel in Stok. Later in
the evening visit a local family to experience

Day 5: Leh - Nubra
Drive to Nubra valley via Khardongla pass at 18360
ft. To be at this height is a test of your physical
endurance and you can boasts of being at the base of
Mt Everest, which is at the same altitude. Arrive
Nubra by noon and chekcin at the Camp/hotel. Later
visit Sand Dunes and Diksit Monastery. Overnight at
the Camp/Hotel.
Day 6: Nubra - Leh
Drive back to Leh, and afternoon free at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Leh
Morning visit Phiyang & Spituk Monasteries. Lunch at
the hotel, afternoon visit Hall of Fame, Tibetan
Handicrafts center and Leh Market. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 8: Leh - Pangong &
back Early at 0600 hrs proceed for day excursion to
Pangong Lake 135 km, one of the largest and most
beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas.
Lunch at Pangong and explore the lake area. Back to
Leh by evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Leh - Lamayuru
Pack up in the morning and head for the next drive
towards Kashmir valley. First halt will be at
Lamayuru 125 kms, enroute visit Sangam of Indus &
Zanskar river, Alchi Murals and Basgo Castle. Arrive
Lamayuru and checkin at the Hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 10: Lamayuru - Kargil
Morning visit Lunar landscapes and Lamayuru
monastery, thereafter drive to Kargil 110 kms, on
the way visit the famous Rock cut statue of Maitreya
Buddha at Mulbekh village. Arrive Kargil by evening
and checkin at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11: Kargil - Srinagar
Eearly morning drive to Srinagar 205 kms. On the way
visit Drass-the 2nd coldest place on earth. After
driving past Zojila pass and Sonamarg arrive in

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, you

Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast, leave for a day's sightseeing tour
of Delhi. In historic Old Delhi you will see the
Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques of India;
the Red Fort, an impressive sandstone monument built
by the Mughals, and you can explore the busy market
of Chandi Chowk. You can also visit Raj Ghat, the
memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. In New Delhi you can see
India Gate, Parliament House and the President's
mansion. Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar and the Bahai
Temple and shopping in crafts emporia in Delhi
complete your Delhi tour. Return to your hotel to
stay overnight.
Day 3: Delhi - Leh
Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Leh.
You will be received on arrival and transferred to
your hotel. Rest and acclimatize yourself to the
altitude and rarified air of Ladakh.
Day 4: Dahanu Valley
Drive to Dahanu Valley, where the Drokpa live. They
are Buddhist in name, but are culturally and
racially different from the rest of the inhabitants
of. We will visit Dah and Beema, two of the five
villages inhabited by the Drokpa people. We will
drive down the Indus, between Khaltse and the Shyok
- Indus confluence seeing panoramic views on the way
to our camp at Beema.
Day 5: Beema and Dah
After breakfast we visit the villages of Beema and
Dah and meet the Drokpa tribe. They are a small
community of about 2000 people whose features are
pure Indo-Aryan, and they have preserved their
racial purity down the centuries. Stay overnight at
the camp at Beema.
Day 6: Leh
After breakfast we drive back to Leh via and see the
picturesque villages of Achinathang and Skurbachan
on the way. We also stop to see the impressive Basgo
Fort. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.
Day 7: Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast we drive for around 7 Hrs
to Pangong Lake. Located at an altitude of 14,000
ft, Pangong Lake is approached by a road that
crosses the Chang La Pass (18,000 ft.) and scenic
villages. Stay overnight at a camp on the edge of
Pangong Lake.
Day 8: Pangong Lake
After breakfast we explore the 130km long lake,
which is divided by the Indo-Chinese border. We also
see the settlements of the Chang Pa tribe, who are
nomadic herdsmen who migrate from Ladakh to Tibet
and back, as the seasons change through the year.
Stay overnight at the tented camp on Pangong Lake.
Day 8: Leh
After breakfast we drive back to Leh (7 hrs.) Check
into your hotel and relax. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 9: Leh
Spend a relaxed day in Leh and explore Leh bazaar.
You can shop for Ladakhi curios, masks, prayer
wheels, clothing, Buddhist artifacts and other
souvenirs. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 10: Alchi
After breakfast we leave for a day's sightseeing of
the Alchi monastery and Likir Gompa. The Buddhist
heritage of Ladakh can be seen at these religious
sites. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 11: Leh - Delhi
After breakfast you will transferred to the airport
to board the flight to Delhi. Leave for Delhi with

monastery and the nearby village. Considered one of
the most well preserved Buddhist centers of Ladakh,
the Alchi monastery has beautiful paintings on its
walls, which are examples of early Buddhist art. In
Alchi village you can see the rural lifestyle of the
villagers including activities such as grinding
wheat etc. Stay overnight at the camp.
Day 03: Leh -Hemis - Thiksey - Shey + Stok Palace
After breakfast we leave for a tour of the Hemis
Gompa. This monastery is the best-known in Ladakh.
Around the monastery you will see Chortens or
Buddhist reliquaries and ornate walls. After seeing
the sights of the monastery we leave for the Thiksey
Monastery. This is situated on a mountain from where
you can see panoramic views of the Indus Valley.
Within the monastery you can see many beautiful
Buddhist artifacts. We then leave for the Shey
Palace, which was the summer palace of the royal
family of Ladakh. We also see the Stok Palace, where
the royal family of Ladakh used to live. In the
museum at the palace you can see family heirlooms
and artifacts from royal times. We then tour the
Ladakh Handicraft Center. Here you can buy beautiful
handmade products and craft items. Return to your
hotel to stay overnight.
Day 04: Leh Visit The Local Baazar
After an early breakfast, you can walk around and
visit the markets in Leh, where you can buy Ladakhi
craft items from the friendly local people.
Day 05: Leh
Have a relaxed day in Leh and indulge in any
activity of your choice. You can go shopping
sightseeing or just relax in your hotel.
Day 6: Fly, Leh - Delhi
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to

holes. You cam also enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat if
the weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg
to Gulmarg is fascinating. A short trek up to
Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs., is
optional. The Gondola Lift for mountain rides is

Day 04: Srinagar - Leh

Day 4: Srinagar- Sonmarg- Kargil.
Morning parture by car/coach to Kargil, enroute
stops include Sonamarg and Baltal hamlets, famous
for rugged snow peaked meadows. Past Baltal cross
over Zoji-La Pass (11,500 ft). we are in Drass
valley with strikingly different landscape dotted
with remote mud huts giving an impression that you
really have traveled back in time. After a passport
check we continue on to Kargil. Overnight in a local
hotel/Inn.
Day 5: Kargil- Leh.
Morning visit to local Immambarah and Turkish
inspired architectural structures from the Silk
route days, when this used too be a major stop for
Central Asian trade route. Enroute to Leh, stops
include Mulbekh Monastery, perched on a mountain
over the village of the same name, known for the
huge image of Buddha carved from a giant rock. After
Mulbekh, continue on to Alchi and Likir Monasteries.
These monasteries house Buddha and renowned
1000-year-old religious wall paintings. This evening
arrive in Leh and check into local hotel/inn.
Day 6: Local sight seeing
Today's sightseeing, Leh Bazaar, Leh Palace and
Sankar gompa, the women's vegetable market in the
afternoon. This evening evening the Sankar
monastery, Leh Gompa, It is situated above the Leh
Palace and was built in 1430. It contains a 47 ft.
high statue of the Buddha, which the Ladakhi call
Chamba. According to the Lamas this splendid statue
is the future Buddha. Butter lamps burn day and
night in front of this statue. Sankar Gompa, Just 2
miles from Leh is this monastery that has a
formidable collection of miniatures of pure gold and
a number of exciting paintings. It is well lit and
may be visited in the evening as well.
Day 7: Hemis/Shey Palace/Thiksey
Today we'll visit Hemis Gompa, Ladakh's largest
monastery. It contains a number of gold statues and
Stupas decorated with precious stones and a superb
collection of Thankas, including one that is the
largest in existence. On our way you'll also Shey
palace with its remarkable statue of Buddha and
panoramic views of Indus valley. We will meet the
monastery's resident Lama, if permitted.
Day 8: Departure
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to
the airport in Leh for your flight to Delhi. Leave
for Delhi with unforgettable memories of your Delhi
